You get $100. So do I.
Starlink pays both of us, as cash or service credit, when you order through my referral link and stay two months. Same price either way.
Look for the green $100 banner on Starlink's page, then finish your order in that same tab. How the $100 works
The Starlink referral $100 isn't missing until two months of service have passed without it. You pay month one as normal; Starlink issues the $100 after two months, as soon as 60 days after activation. Starlink says the amount is shown in your account. That's per Starlink's own support page, checked 1 November 2026.
If two months have come and gone with no $100, work down the list below. Most of these can't be repaired after the order is placed, which is exactly why I spell them out before anyone clicks.
First, check where it's supposed to appear
When you open a referral link, Starlink's page shows a green banner confirming you and the referrer will each get $100. Nothing is discounted at checkout. What happens next:
- You order and pay for the first month at the normal price.
- You activate the kit and keep the service running.
- After two months of service, Starlink issues the $100, as soon as 60 days after activation.
- By default it is service credit, deducted from your next invoice. If you chose cash, it is paid through Stripe; that has to be set up under Referrals → Reward Method on starlink.com in a web browser.
If you're still inside your first two months, there's nothing to see yet. My full timeline page walks through each step.
1. The order wasn't finished in the same tab
The referral is held in your browser session, not in a long-lived cookie. If you clicked the link, closed the tab and came back later to order, the referral was very likely gone by the time you checked out. This is the quiet one. Before you order, check the green $100 banner is still showing.
2. You've been a Starlink customer before
The $100 is for new customers only. Starlink's support page says existing and returning customers aren't eligible, so reactivating an old account or adding service on an existing one won't pick it up.
3. The kit came from a reseller, a store, or a transfer
The kit has to be ordered on starlink.com with the referral link open. Orders through resellers, retailers or marketplace stores, and accounts transferred from someone else, can't be credited, and Starlink says a missed referral can't be added later.
4. The plan isn't one the program covers
Eligible plans are Residential Lite, Residential, Residential 100 Mbps, Residential 200 Mbps and Residential Max, plus Roam 100GB, Roam 300GB and Roam Unlimited. Priority plans and Business or Enterprise accounts don't earn referral rewards.
5. The service didn't stay active for two months
The subscription has to be activated and kept for at least two months. The $100 is only issued after two months of service.
Why I wrote this
I run a referral link on this site, so I have an obvious interest in it working. The worst outcome for both of us is someone doing everything right except one invisible detail, and losing the $100. Starlink can change these terms at any time; their support page is the authority, not this page.
Common questions
What people ask me about this
Why isn't my Starlink referral credit showing?
Most often because it isn't due yet. You pay the first month as normal, and Starlink issues the $100 once you have been subscribed for two months, as soon as 60 days after activation. Starlink says the amount is shown in your account; by default it is service credit deducted from your next invoice.
When does the Starlink referral $100 show up?
After two months of service, not on your first bill. When you open the referral link Starlink shows a green banner confirming $100 each, but nothing is discounted at checkout. The service must be activated and kept for at least two months, and the $100 is issued as soon as 60 days after activation.
Can I add a Starlink referral after I've already ordered?
No. Starlink's support page says a referral is only recorded when the new customer orders on starlink.com using the link, and if they ordered without it, used someone else's link, or bought from a retailer or marketplace store, it can't be added later.
Is there a Starlink promo code or discount?
There is no Starlink coupon code — Starlink does not issue them, and any site advertising one is guessing. The only standing discount is the referral program: order through someone's referral link and you and the person who referred you each get $100 in the US, as cash or service credit. There is no code to type at checkout; the link does it, and Starlink shows a green banner confirming the $100 when the page opens. Mine is https://starlink.com?referral=RC-586189-74623-26 — the price is identical either way. You pay your first month as normal, and the $100 is issued once you have been subscribed for two months.
Who is not eligible for the Starlink referral $100?
Existing and returning Starlink customers are not eligible; the $100 is for new customers only. Priority plans and Business or Enterprise accounts don't earn referral rewards. Eligible plans are Residential Lite, Residential, Residential 100 Mbps, Residential 200 Mbps and Residential Max, plus Roam 100GB, Roam 300GB and Roam Unlimited.
Haven't ordered yet?
Then you can avoid every problem above. Open the link, check your address, and finish the order in that same tab.
Look for the green $100 banner when Starlink's page opens — that confirms the code took. You pay month one as normal; the $100 is issued once you have been subscribed for two months. Finish your order in the same tab — the referral can be lost if you close it and come back later. Here's the full timeline.
