Look for the green $100 banner on Starlink's page, then finish your order in that same tab. How the $100 works

On the FCC National Broadband Map, 100% of North Beach's roughly 1,100 homes have wired or other land-based internet of at least 100 Mbps reported, and 58.7% have gigabit (1,000/100 Mbps) reported. That is the FCC's data as of 31 December 2025, which I read on 27 October 2026.

I don't live in North Beach. I'm in Chesapeake Beach, next door, on Starlink. Everything below about North Beach comes from the FCC's Area Summary for North Beach, not from my own testing.

Coverage by speed

This is the FCC's fixed broadband view for residential service with the "All Terrestrial" technology filter, so it leaves satellite out. It counts a home as covered if at least one provider reports it can serve that speed there.

Speed (down/up)Residential units covered
100/20 Mbps100% (about 1,100 units)
1,000/100 Mbps58.7% (658 units)

So every address in town has something fast and wired reported, and a bit more than half can get gigabit. The FCC rounds the town total to "1.1K units".

Who reports serving North Beach

The FCC's Top 10 Providers chart for North Beach lists seven. The FCC notes that only the residential filter applies to this chart, so it covers every technology and speed, satellite included.

Provider (as the FCC names it)Residential units served
Comcast Corporation (Xfinity)100%
EchoStar Corporation (HughesNet)100%
Viasat, Inc.100%
Space Exploration Technologies Corp. (Starlink)100%
T-Mobile USA, Inc.84.75% (950 units)
AT&T Inc.68.06% (763 units)
Verizon Communications Inc.8.74% (98 units)

Source: FCC National Broadband Map, Area Summary, North Beach, MD, Residential, data as of 31 December 2025 (last updated 19 October 2026), read 27 October 2026. The chart doesn't say which technology each provider uses at each address. For that, look up your own address on the map.

What the map can't tell you

These are providers' own reports of where they say they can serve. A provider listed for your address may still need a site visit, a line run or a clear view of the sky. And "available" is not the same as "good". My house in Chesapeake Beach had Xfinity cable, and for me it was terrible, which is why I switched to Starlink.

Not tested by meI haven't used any service at a North Beach address, so I can't tell you how these providers perform there. If you live in town, ask a neighbor what they actually get in the evening.

Where Starlink fits in North Beach

With wired service reported at every address, most people in North Beach don't need satellite. It makes sense if the wired choices at your address have let you down, the way cable did for me. On Starlink's Residential plan, roof-mounted and self-installed, I measured 100 Mbps down and 15 up on 26 September 2026, and it has stayed up through Bay storms. My Calvert County page covers the wider county, and the comparison weighs Starlink against wired options.

Common questions

What people ask me about this

What internet is available in North Beach, Maryland?

On the FCC National Broadband Map (data as of December 31, 2025), wired or other terrestrial service of at least 100 Mbps down and 20 up is reported for 100% of North Beach's roughly 1,100 residential units, and 1,000/100 Mbps service for 58.7% (658 units). Comcast, EchoStar, Viasat and SpaceX each report serving 100% of units.

Is gigabit internet available in North Beach, MD?

For some addresses. The FCC map shows 1,000 Mbps down and 100 up reported for 58.7% of North Beach's residential units, 658 of them, as of December 31, 2025. The other 41% or so had nothing that fast reported. Check your own address on the map.

Is there a Starlink promo code or discount?

There is no Starlink coupon code — Starlink does not issue them, and any site advertising one is guessing. The only standing discount is the referral program: order through someone's referral link and you and the person who referred you each get $100 in the US, as cash or service credit. There is no code to type at checkout; the link does it, and Starlink shows a green banner confirming the $100 when the page opens. Mine is https://starlink.com?referral=RC-586189-74623-26 — the price is identical either way. You pay your first month as normal, and the $100 is issued once you have been subscribed for two months.

Does Starlink cover North Beach?

SpaceX reports Starlink service to 100% of North Beach's residential units on the FCC map, data as of December 31, 2025. That is a coverage claim, not a promise about your lot: trees and buildings still decide how well a dish works. Starlink's own site checks your address before you order.

Do you live in North Beach?

No. I live in Chesapeake Beach, next door, where I run Starlink's Residential plan. The North Beach figures on this page come from the FCC National Broadband Map, read on 27 October 2026, not from my own testing.

Ordering Starlink?

Check your North Beach address on Starlink's site first; it confirms availability before you order. Ordering through my link gets you $100, as cash or service credit, on eligible plans — and I get the same.

Look for the green $100 banner when Starlink's page opens — that confirms the code took. You pay month one as normal; the $100 is issued once you have been subscribed for two months. Finish your order in the same tab — the referral can be lost if you close it and come back later. Here's the full timeline.
